Nations have their priorities but of course some have better priorities than others | We have the world's first trillionaire. We have universal healthcare, housing first, paid parental leave and other social welfare programs and strong worker protection laws to maintain the well-being of our people as well as economic policies that allow small businesses to thrive and keep unemployment low. | image tagged in i sleep in a race car bed, america, europe, elite, greed, elon musk | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

When I was young and ignorant I thought Universal Healthcare was a great idea!
Then I met 2 Brits and 3 Canadians in a rural hospital in WV where I was getting a hip replacement.
They explained to me they had to borrow money and come here to get knee and hip surgery after waiting YEARS for it back home.
I only had to wait a few weeks for my employer to find someone to fill in for me. I only had to pay for 30% of my surgery too. And half a tank of gas.
That's reality.

Not all universal healthcare systems are the same. Every healthcare system around the world works in different ways. Many healthcare systems have both private insurance companies and government funding and also private and government healthcare providers. Switzerland is a prime example and has lots of private health insurance companies and healthcare providers. I honestly would not point to Canada as an exemplary healthcare system for it's actually the 2nd poorest in the world next to the USA. Many Canadians have been European countries such as Spain and have a much better experience than in the Canadian system. I also wouldn't count Britain's system either for that one is to monopolized by the government and doesn't allow a lot of private providers and insurers.

Nobody likes a sarcastic smartass and trickle down theory has proven several times. Bootlicking a rich elite isn't gonna make you any wealthier any more than living in Los Angeles is gonna make you have a chance of getting into Hollywood like the rest of the celebrities.

Politicians wasting tax payers money to live a luxury lifestyle is also unacceptable. And you shouldn't be any more ok with private sector elites living luxury lifestyles while leaving millions struggling to afford to live.

All priorities are equal but some priorities are more equal than others

Stop being a douchebag, one doesn't have to be a communist to care about the needs of the people rather than a corrupt elite. Also every other developed nation in the meme is actually more free market than the USA including Finland which left the totalitarian USSR to become its own free nation.

I guess Elon Musk's priority of becoming the world's first trillionaire was one of America's 'more equal' priorities.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were actually siding with me. I am so used to right-wing libertarian Trumptard douchebags arrogantly calling me a communist just for wanting a better society for the people to have well-paying jobs and food and shelter security and not have their needs disregarded in favor of the "needs" of billionaire elitist scum.
