Making America Great Again, in Space

Making America Great Again, in Space | Both of our parties have supporters and haters of Data Centers, we need them and should work together to build them; I know your party hates all things Elon Musk, but he supports building orbital data centers. This idea solves heat buildup, cooling servers and ends the demand for massive amounts of water. | image tagged in memes, inception, magas, elon musk, data centers, american exceptionalism | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Too late, it is already a trash dump up there. There is no real alternative, the DC's will be built somewhere. They either pollute the earth or space. Neither option is a good one.

There is a European group that is building them on "boats", powered and cooled by the waves. As water transfers between chambers it spins a turbine generating on site power. The same water flow is refreshed after each wave cycle, allowing for a cool down.

This is modern environmentally conscious engineering at its finest. I live in the monkeys gone to heaven part of America where toxic sludge seeps in and exposes the body causing a slow painful decline to death. I'm hoping it's not space junk or lack of ground water that kills me faster because of a data center. What were we doing B4 the data center? Why can people save personal data on drivers, or external hard drives .. why do we need all these data centers out of nowhere... Makes no sense...

I agree with you, we are all going to pay a high price just to make silly videos, memes and fake pictures of ourselves standing next to a big foot. I am not proDC, I am just smart enough to make some money off the people trying to kill me.

These are being propped up by government contracts for the nanny state. If you think these things will be used for AI music and such, I applaud your rose colored glasses.

I have seen different designs that may cut down on the pollution and demand for water, but we are a huge country and will need to use several methods to protect the environment and the workers. No one knows yet what working inside of one of those things for years will do to a human.

Apart from hearing loss, you have no other environmental dangers!! My organization has a world class center, and we have to use hearing protections. We also have hearing test annually for personnel that have access. It is air cooled, with a center plenum that sucks the hot air out. All fans on the equipment flow inward, drawing the cooler air, into the center plenum after traveling through the eq!! Loud AF!

Can they incorporate a way to capture carbon and send filtered air back into the environment . .
. Maybe figure out how to generate electricity along the way somehow...I've heard lots of nitrogen is needed for the cooling part of these centers, wouldn't Freon be for long term efficient.... I'm not a engineer, but steam powered without waisting water somehow for land data centers might be a good option when solar wind and coal can't keep up with their power needs....

I am certain given enough space and CAPITAL, it could be possible. In our case, we retrofitted ours into a existing property that was slated to be demolished for being vacant.

Sounds like a good job and a company that cares, I am happy for you. Does that much electricity charge the air with static electricity or am I over thinking this?

It's all grounded. Nothing is energizing the grid. We have ESD ports to place us as humans on the same ground as the EQ. It's not like we run around rubbing balloons on a wool sweater then touching things!!!! Lol
