Yes, you're right that life began about 3.8 to 3.8 billion years ago, and the earth 4.54 billion years. And it was unicellular until we see what seems to be multicellular organisms appear maybe 2.1 billion years ago. From what I can see, it was quite a long time ago so we don't really know how the prokaryotic cells became eukaryotic. Could be evolution, could be creation.

However, after this, we have good evidence of eventual advancing complexity, but the way it happens, time and time again, is very odd. The creatures live for a long while, maybe a little evolution here and there, and then, quite suddenly, they boost in complexity, creating new unique sequences. This doesn't refute macro-evolution, but it certainly doesn't support it. And certainly, if you think that it makes absolutely no sense for God to have created them, then of course evolution is still true.

And they see a universe filled with stars that can't create themselves complete with physical laws in place and, at least one planet with an eco system perfectly fine tuned and pretend that it all created itself. They claim we have faith and they have science.
