Some, especially on the first term, no president works alone, bad advice and bad decisions are part of the process. The give and take to get things past congress usually means passing less than you want and adjusting from there. Trumps normal pattern is make a huge plan, trolling the left, and downsize until something passes. The demonrats promise big and deliver nothing.
