You're leaning over your skis speculating on my circumstances. I'm the oldest of six kids and only my Dad worked to support us and we did fine. If he could support all of us working as a public school teacher then you or anyone else could support your own self with ease. The key is responsible living, socialism and leftism attract irresponsible people because they don't recognize thrift and responsibility and grit as legitimate concepts.

I should not have to explain to you that inflation has gotten significantly worse in the years since you were a kid while wages haven’t gone up in almost 20 years. I’m glad that your father was able to provide for you and your siblings. I’m glad I was able to go to Toys R Us as a kid. Good luck doing either of those things today.
