When I lived in WV I kept a stage theatrical sword for a home defense weapon. Now I had a .45 revolver and a .45 automatic. But if I caught someone in my house a 3 pound trigger pull wasn't gonna satisfy me.
That sword had a dull, rebated edge too. A butter knife was sharper. I definitely wanted to sate my fury.
I was a crime reporter back then and I got death threats on a weekly basis.
