The thing is that people don't appreciate the differences in technological advances and the real reasons behind them. Nobody is brilliant. All the "geniuses" were uploaded information in dreams or other means of direct revelation. People went from whittling wood and carving rocks to plastic 3D printers and nanobots on their own? Right...
Income taxes are common sense. I'm talking about property taxes that are not from a commercially producing farm land or any land. People got taxed for making food available to the country. My house doesn't produce anything. Actually now that we have been allowed to have solar panels we literally produce electricity but we still pay for the electrical service.
