2008 Maine "Dirty Bomb" Threat: White supremacist James G. Cummings planned to set off a "dirty bomb" at the inauguration, but was killed by his wife before he could act.
2011 White House Shooting: Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez fired shots at the White House, with bullets hitting the building while no one was injured. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
2013 Ricin Letters: Several individuals, including James Everett Dutschke and actress Shannon Richardson, sent letters containing ricin to President Obama and other officials, leading to long prison sentences.
2013 "Death Ray" Plot: KKK member Glendon Scott Crawford and an accomplice were convicted for plotting to use a mobile, radiation-emitting device to kill President Obama and others.
2018 Mail Bombing Attempt: Cesar Sayoc mailed pipe bombs to various Democratic leaders, including Obama, as part of a series of domestic terror attempts.
2023 Arrest: Taylor Taranto, a January 6 participant, was arrested near the Washington D.C. home of the Obamas with weapons and explosives.
Now what you might be thinking of is no one got close enough to actually take shots at President Obama. And that's because the people in charge at the FBI and Secret Service were actually f**king good at their jobs.
Unlike the unqualified losers Trump has put in place.
That there is anyone in the leadership positions at the Secret Service after the WCD incident – if it was real and not staged – is shocking. They should have been fired the next morning.
