If your religion tells you to hate an animal that God created to the point of killing it for no justifiable reason then the problem is not with the animal but with you and your religion.

Christianity is an Eastern religion. Jesus was Eastern. Yahweh was Eastern. The original one God, Ahura Mazda, is Eastern. pffft, the attitude of most Europeans today about Italy, Greece, the Balkans is as Eastern, even though they created Europe. If you listen to the music of Italy and Greece prior to World War II, yeah, Eastern.
