A lack of compromise is a problem for all relationships, not just marriages.

So true, X. And it is not always women who are more compromising. I have seen some men who are better at it.

I would say that 'generally' speaking, more women are willing to accommodate than men. That has changed over the decades and now I do see a lot of women seem to be 'bossy' or 'unyielding'. I think this adds another layer to the issue as men are men, testosterone and all, and somebody has to give.

When there is a disagreement within a marriage, it's absolutely important to always remember the debate is between two people that love each other. This seems to be forgotten far too often.
