Generally, within the US, don't live in blue cities/states or the really poor areas of Appalachia, make good choices (don't make a habit out of breaking the law, don't have children outside of marriage), and be willing to work hard and it's possible to be okay. A single part time job will not afford anyone above the age of 18 a comfortable living.. nor should it. Far too many are unwilling to do most, if not all of that and believe themselves to be entitled to money someone else has made.
