Nah... they committed a crime entering the country illegally... and no one is above the law...

Ah sorry. I meant violent crime.

Oh so you think only violent crimes need to be enforced?

Violent crimes should be taken care of by the law. But my point is, sure, people entering the US illegally commit a crime since entering our country without authorization is a crime. Your claim that they committed a crime is correct. I was trying to point out that undocumented immigrants don't deserve the "serial killer" and "drug dealer" or even "gangster" brand, which is what many conservatives claim undocumented are.
0 ups, 3w
Just because an undocumented (illegal) immigrant didn’t commit a violent crime doesn’t give them a pass remain in the country. And yes, many of them are killers, drug dealers and gangsters because they end up resorting to more crime to survive since they can’t legally work here.

By law you can't aim a truck at anyone and try to run them over. That's what an SUV is. They have truck frames. In most states that's "Assault with a Deadly Weapon. " go ahead - Google it in your stare. Un dozens of states if someone commits assault with a deadly weapon against you, you CAN shoot them in self defense. There's only about 10 states (backwards Demorhhoid shitholes) where you are required to retreat from an assault.
That's the law. Not opinions.

And I've been saying this whole time! Renee Good did not try to run over the ICE agent.
2 ups, 3w,

That just means it wasn’t premeditated. It’s was still assault with a deadly weapon.
0 ups, 3w,

If someone did not try to make an attempt at assault, then how is it still assault, regardless of whether or not it was premeditated?
1 up, 3w
That’s like saying you didn’t mean to shoot someone even though you were aiming the gun in their direction when you pulled the trigger. You’re still responsible for shooting them. The vehicle didn’t just drive away on its own. It also didn’t decide to not apply the breaks when someone was in front of it. These actions were all done by Renee Good.

So she was trying to leave after being told to get out of the car. Then she stepped on the gas when the agent was in front of her car.
Yeah, real innocent 🙄

Did the ICE agent get knocked to the ground? Did the car roll over him? None of those things. The ICE agent just got in the way. Someone getting in the way of another person is not the same as someone intentionally ramming you.
4 ups, 3w,

Yes the ICE agent didn’t get killed. That’s why it’s called attempted murder. She disobeyed orders and died because of it.
2 ups, 3w,

And why did the agent get in the way? To stop her from fleeing. When you run down a law enforcement officer trying to flee, myoure gonna get shot.

Maybe because he wasn't careful. It seemed like he wanted her to stay. We really got to train ICE more than just 47-48 days.
0 ups, 3w,

Maybe - in other words, speculation. That’s not facts.

Facts:
She was where she shouldn’t have been (thus the order to leave)
She refused to lease when ordered to do so
She was then ordered to get out of the car because she refused to leave.
The she then sped away and didn’t even tap the breaks when the agent was in front of of her.

You can speculate all you want but the facts show that she was being defiant and reckless putting herself and others at risk, which lead to her unfortunate death.

What do you mean she refused to "lease?" Are you in your right mind.

And you don't answer my question... if you want to leave, why do you suddenly need them to step out of the car? If you want someone to leave, then you should making them leave, not making them step out of a car. Honestly, ICE in this moment didn't know what it want. Just shouting orders randomly.
0 ups, 3w
*leave (a typo)

When you refuse to follow orders from law enforcement they have to physically make you comply. Since she didn’t move her vehicle when initially ordered to, they needed to remove her from the vehicle and arrest her for interfering.

She wasn’t “legally” observing as you like to claim. If she was only observing she wouldn’t have her vehicle blocking the road. She also wouldn’t have disobeyed orders.

The car was used in the commission of a felony. It struck an officer in the line of duty... All your posturing doesn't change that.

The car was used in the commission of leaving the scene. Officers were using conflicting orders. Renee Good panicked because she did was afraid of ICE, because of previous instances of citizens getting attacked by ICE. As she tried leaving out of being scared, the officer GOT IN THE WAY. Your opinion doesn't change this fact.

Since when was DHS ever right?

Nice fantasy,
Fact remains that
She was verbally detained at the time, and ignored legal and lawful orders to get out of her car. The statement made that "the car was used in commission of leaving the scene." You make the point perfectly that she was fleeing the scene to escape the legal and lawful orders given 4 times to her.
4 ups, 3w,

She was originally told to lease but refused to do so. Since she disobeyed that order she was told to get out of the car, another order she refused to comply with.

0 ups, 3w,

Yeah, but which one was she supposed to follow during that moment?
2 ups, 3w,

The one she was given at that moment, which was to get out of the car.
0 ups, 3w,

But the order before, didn't she have to follow that to? If you're told to do two things, then you technically have to do both, right? Just because one of them is more recent doesn't mean you can ignore the first one.
1 up, 3w,
1 reply
Yes, the order before that she should have followed but she didn’t. If she had followed the first order there wouldn’t have been a 2nd order.

But if you want whoever you're talking to just go away, why would you want to search them? If the original intent was to make sure Renee went away, then why didn't the ICE agents focus all their efforts on that?
1 up, 3w,
1 reply
They did. When she refused to leave they decided to do something about it by taking her into custody for obstruction.

That makes sense.
