He'll be limited to women who are desperate for a man in their lives because they see no future for themselves alone. These are probably women with little education, or criminal records, or recovering alcoholics/addicts. If those women have repented and changed their ways, they'll appreciate the men in their lives much more than ordinary women.

When you feel so powerless that you're convinced getting what you want is impossible, you spend most of your time helping others get what they want to feel useful and valued.

Sad situation as we all 'need to feel needed'. If women have such a low regard for men, where is the love? Or, the respect? Or, even the commitment? I don't think these women feel powerless, but I do think the men are not attracted to the bait (making men feel unnecessary or unneeded).

I do agree that the women you described would have the tendency to appreciate the men in their lives much more than ordinary women. But men don't have to accept flawed women. And women don't have to accept flawed men.

Men bring so many different things to the table. Take raising children properly, for example. I know I would have been lost trying to raise our son without the strength of my husband behind me. "Mind your mother"....the sweetest words when I needed them the most. It takes the love of a woman but the strength of a man to raise children (especially sons...daughters are much easier).

To be clear, I do respect women who raise children by themselves. Women like Dr. Ben Carson's mom who managed to raise a brilliant son by herself even though she could not read. But in a perfect world, the union of a man and a woman is the ideal situation. I just totally don't understand women who make it clear that they 'don't need a man'.

Dr. Ben Carson and his mom are perfect examples that anyone can succeed despite their origins. That circumstances need not define our future. Our choices are far more powerful than our surroundings. She worked jobs, that by themselves, didn't provide a "living wage" and provided guidance to her troubled son while experiencing depression. He overcame his violent temper by tempering his urges with reading the Bible, starting with Proverbs as I recall. A wonderful source of wisdom.

Many people have benefited from hearing Ben Carson's story. Even if you can't become a doctor (most people can't), you can become a better person by following in his footsteps.

A difficult query. I understand the recent series of The Bachelorette had to be cancelled after her ex boyfriend posted a video of her abusing him, including hitting him with a stool and kicking him while he's trying to leave. Who has seen the videos of "women that don't need a man" pouring windshield washer fluid in their oil? There are plenty of women more than capable of performing great maintenance on their vehicles and as mechanics, and every young lady should be taught at least the basics or at least have the foresight and perhaps humility to understand that asking for help is not a sign of weakness.

Men, good guys, need to be strong and capable; know their positive and negative traits and work on both to make them more positive.

Sadly, too many of both sexes lack a competent father in their homes or in the their lives to instill the requisite wisdom needed to achieve balanced perspective. The world preaches divisiveness between the sexes and between the "races". We are one race; human. Together, we build families, communities, and thriving civilizations. Seperate and at odds, it all goes up in flames.

Well said as always, with your last paragraph bringing us full circle. 💯 It makes me think of Rodney King pleading, can we all just get along? I certainly wish for that...

Too bad that more people are not like you, Diogenes, and like Xenonailing. You both exude positive moral character, high standards, and just plain 'goodness'. In a world that has gone wild, this is so refreshing and it does give us hope!

There are many people that live on the correct side of things. You and a plethora of other intelligent and wise imgflip submitters belong in that list as well. Sadly, there are far more in the world that through indoctrination and/or natural proclivities will never see the truth.

I'm certain she blames her ex and probably every other ex for all her woes. Her anger, at least in this situation, consumed and controlled her. As you've correctly pointed out, more than once, men and women should not stay in abusive situations. Abusers need time alone, time in therapy, and perhaps a little bit more to calm their chaotic lives and emotions. The abused could benefit from similar decisions. Hopefully this woman will grow and change from this moment. Hopefully her ex chooses better next time as well.

I have never been a person to like drama and when I see such aberrant behavior, it makes me wonder what the producers were attracted to when they chose her as The Bachelorette. 🤯

I had read that the ratings were down and they were trying to spice it up a bit but spicy is not always a good thing. This woman appears to be extremely TOXIC...

The show has always appeared to me as portraying superficial people celebrating superficiality. I imagine the show's producers search for outwardly attractive people to highlight "their search for true love". People that have appeared on the show have shared how they have had to change their online profiles to appear on it and to appear more likeable to viewing demographic viewership. Nothing says true love like lieing about one's life don't cha know. My guess is with the release of the offensive video, in multiple uses of the word, the producers faced a PR disaster to try to make her appear likeable, let alone loveable.
