It takes sophisticated mathematics and engineering to launch more than one satellite or nuclear warhead from one missile. Most sophisticated technology is not allowed to be exported. Bill Clinton, in his infinite wisdom 🤣, authorized a Chinese company to launch a rocket in China for an American company. The rocket was launching two satellites at once. The rationale was that this Chinese company could do it cheaper than an American company.
Long story short - while all the American engineers and government officials were locked in the explosion proof launch bunker, the rocket barely got off the launchpad and crashed a short distance away. By the time the Americans were allowed to inspect the rocket, the essential classified component was nowhere to be found. China acquired acquired the technology to have multiple nuclear warheads on one ICBM.
An interesting sidenote – Bill Clinton‘s reelection campaign received +$150,000 from a Chinese Buddhist monastery at an Al Gore fundraising event.
Another interesting sidenote – Clinton’s Commerce asecretary, , Ron Brown, who signed off on that rocket launch, mysteriously died in a plane crash with a small hole in his skull. There was speculation he was assassinated. But it was never proven.
