Any of them get a gold casket ?

Nope. And I highly doubt any of them threatened a pregnant woman at gun-point during a robbery. That career Criminal and Junkie was NO MLK jr. or Rosa Parks....and he DID die from his own drug overdose! Yet everybody knows HIS name and makes statues to him...where is the statue for Medal Of Honor Recipient (posthumously) Staff Sergeant Ruben Rivers of the 761st Tank Battalion?
Bad enough that SSGT Rivers wasn't awarded it until 1997 but to elevate a hood in fame beyond someone like Rivers is just insane!

Sorry it took so long to get back to you but a "Brave" "Moderator" from the shadows blocked my comments for 24 hrs. 👿

Anyhow.....

You make a good point, and I WAS looking for names of African-Americans in the Revolutionary War (try to find their names or even the names of other non-high-ranking officers from then) and I considered adding Attucks.

The problem I have is that the Boston Massacre was pre-Revolution and the Americans were instigators. John Adams, the Massachusetts Representative to the Continental Congress and Future President, defended the British Soldiers in court as he thought that the civilians had been in the wrong.

A small point, but like the January 6 Rioters (Rioters NOT insurrectionists by a _*LONG Shot!*_ 👿) I believe, like John Adams, that it did not enhance the cause of Liberty so much as give it a Black Eye.

Just my opinion.

Agreed. I got a 48 hr. moderator penalty box assignment after I left the comment. I had always heard that Crispus was regarded as the first. My dad had a first edition set of Mercy Otis Warren's history of the Revolutionary War that I learned to read in my younger days- due to the limits of the printing press, s was printed like an f, fo reading ftories of the war waf interefting and took the development of certain fkills to get through it. I think she attributed Crispus Atticus as the first fatality... I don't remember for sure. My Dad sold the set to some guy for $25, I would have easily paid him $26 or $27 for it if I had known he would sell it. I think your assessment is accurate. At any rate, I appreciate the effort you put into the meme.

My apoogies for the TERRIBLE picture of Heroine Harriet Tubman ("Moses"). I SHOULD have used one that was a close-up of her face BUT my old, swiss-cheese brain DIDN'T think of it until AFTER I had posted and saw how feeble the picture looked.

Ms. Tubman was an INCREDIBLY Brave Woman and worth several regiments, nay, DIVISIONS of soldiers to the Union Cause. 🫡
