Except that one interfered with and then fought federal agents and the other defended himself against violent leftist rioters and looters.

Defending yourself against criminals isn't against the law

Except that these were federal agents going about their lawful business until leftist agitators illegally interfered with them and thus put the lives of those agents at risk.
