He brought his own permit gun to the demonstration. He was armed.
Law requires as a permit holder you cannot attend demonstrations with your gun...he had no business bringing it. Leave law enforcement alone.
Same reaction when cops pull over a speeding driver who has a gun in the car: they will go on defense.
