She should take it all the way to the supreme court if needed to have the second charge dropped, and ask why the double standards in her case.

They'd be forced to either agree she did harm an unborn child meaning thats exactly what abortion does every time it's used, or drop the charge in order to cow tow to the abortion industry, which would have the secondary effect of negating anyone serving time for having harmed an unborn child in commission of their crimes.

I really dont see how they can have it both ways on the issue.

Women carry their abortion decision all their lives. My mother cried on her deathbed holding her guilt all these years.

She had five children afterwards.

I remember watching a documentary about it, might have been on PBS the pros and cons etc, I actually like Frontline from time to time when they are fair.

A girl was going in to have the procedure, her mom had egged her on and going in she was all bubbly and happy, just a procedure, she has her whole life ahead of her doesn't want to be burdened right now, but coming out she was in tears because the reality of it was setting in.

I really wish they would return to pre 1950's standards where she was choosy in who she chose to be with rather than todays standards of woo-hooing the night away and if she misses a period just go to the clinic. At least take a pill, make the guy use a raincoat, get an IUD, there are so many options today for women when it comes to birth control abortion should not be looked at as just another form of.

I feel bad for what your mom experienced, guilt is a heavy burden to carry but it also a teacher, I'm sure she wouldn't have done it again and I do believe Jesus forgives us of everything. He knows that as humans we dont know what warm is until we've felt cold, we dont know what right is until we've done wrong, the guilt is our reminder not to touch the stove again because it's hot and will burn us.

I see Jesus as our defense attorney when being judged by someone who sees the stealing of a loaf of bread the same as murder. Jesus is the one who will say "your honor, in my clients defense I'd like to tell you a little about hunger, and what it will make a person do".

How so? In one case a pregnancy is terminated by the mother, in the other it's terminated by a 3rd party. In either case the pregnancy has been terminated, so why is it "freedom of choice" when done by the mother, but "murder of an unborn child" when done by a third party?

There's no hypocrisy going on here. If a woman is pregnant, she can choose to terminate the pregnancy. It's her right.

If someone else terminates it by assaulting or killing her, they don't have a right to do that.

That part I understand, what I don't understand is why it's just removal of unwanted tissue when the mother does it, but an unborn baby when a 3rd party does it.

It's still them being in denial about it, they dont want to admit to themselves they are killing their unborn baby, it's easier to think of it as "just a mass of tissue".

There is no money if someone else but an abortion clinic kills the baby in the womb
