Yep The type are real easy to identify. They're the ones that won't shut off their engine then get real pissy when asked to do so.

They don't shut off their engine when refueling? Won't that start a fire?

It can. Because they've never experienced it, "it will never happen to them"...right up til it ruins their day.

It's an age old problem. Today's gas mix cut down the risk of fire to that of winning the lotto. However the risk is the still there. Nowadays it's about not wanting to breath in fumes. The main risk of fire is turning the vehicle on or off while in the middle of pumping because of the initial spark created especially when turning the vehicle back on. I've yelled at people turning doing that.

Indeed. Full service stations were pretty much gone in my state last century, but all those exhaust fumes gave me lots of headaches back in the day.

One day a few months into the job I used those blue sheets that's found at the window wash to blow my nose. Pressed one nostril, took a breath, then blew then did the other. The brown gunk that came out was nasty. Another thing I noticed is the ear wax buildup seems to happen more than usual.
