ICE isn't "persecution of non-whites", it's sending people back home for entering without legal procedures. do you know how many hispanics ik who are offended that they had to work to get citizenship here and had to work their way to success like any normal american citizen while these people just got to walk in for free and got grants from the government just pretty much because the government was running a corrupt shadow-op and trying to buy voters by bribing them with free citizenship and preferential treatment as opposed to born citizens and them, the legally immigrated citizens. And then on top of that, those people don't even like this country and constantly go out trashing it, while plenty of legal immigrants came here to escape actual dictatorships (like Maduro btw) and appreciate the freedom we have here. So to a legal immigrant (who are not often white btw), it's offensive to see others bypass the system and then get benefits just because the corrupt government found a system to buy votes at the expense of the country's safety - the country who's safety they rely on to protect them from the very dictators they toughed through our safeguards to escape. Our border bylaws exist for a reason, and legal immigrants understand that even more than born citizens.
Besides, by that very logic, Obama was racist in 2009. Go look up what he said in 2009 about illegal immigrants. It is nearly identical to Trump's stance now. Obama himself deported 11 million people. Nobody would've called him racist because he isn't white. But by today's zeitgeist standards, 2009 Obama would be far too right-wing and might even be in the Nazi category.
