That's the truth. Decades ago my boys never ate anything but elk and deer. I'd cut it up in right sized pieces as fast as I could, shovel it off on their plates and start slicing the next round. Like feeding baby wolves. I got skunked one hunting season and put a half beef in the freezer (selling our beef is what paid the taxes so we didn't eat what we raised, LOL) I started the rapid slicing and delivery with their first beef and their snarfing it down pace slowed to a stop and the 3 year old said something to the 4 year old and the 4 year old answered back. The 3 year old said something to the 4 year old again and then the 4 year old acting as spokesman said, "Dad, there's something wrong with this meat." I nearly died laughing, explained, not it's just different. This is my youngest son- redacted his face just because. Grandsons don't seem to eat much beef either.
I grew up on a hog farm, right of passage, that first pig. Be well my friend.
