No heroes here. He shouldn't be asking for 30 days for just the flu, and HR doesn't get to tell people that they can't call in sick

If I knew this is how my boss would handle my sick leave request, I'd make this request just so I could have the whole building to myself.

But I wouldn't ask for 30 days. Getting over the flu usually takes a week or two.
