I'm confused on how they were able to take your job BUT ALSO get medicare/SNAP benefits?

How does that work? If you are paid enough to not need SNAP or Medicare, why are they getting it since there's an income test?

Maybe because you've never been on benefits you don't know that you have to give them access to your bank account and who your employer is so they can verify your income.

So... how are they able to do those things? How does that work?

That's easy, the boss fired you, then paid them under the table so they still appear unemployed.

Or employers picked people up at the local big hardware store parking lot, and just paid them cash?

That's what "under the table" means

Lol they were able to take lots of jobs because employers were incentivised to sponsor immigrants into citizenship. Once a employer agrees to sponsor a illegal, it allows them and the employer to gain incentives for hiring and the immigrant a green light to apply for Medicade and SNAP. Once the sponsor illegal immigrant receives state assistance, the employer gets additional tax incentives to keep the employee hired on. This was all because our government is sneaky how they go about passing laws and bills within bills like build back better, and inflation reduction..... Idk where the sponsorship incentives started, but I do know a majority of employers state on their websites that they no longer sponsor immigrants.

To get an H1B visa, you have to be documented so...

No.

DACA recipients, and immigrants who over stayed on their visa became illegal, but because they had a sponsor, were able to extend their visa via sponsorship. I'm not going to be nieave and believe that the sponsorship program was operated to A T. We live in a very corrupt society, so anything can basically go depending on the state you live in, and the people you know.

Extending their visa via sponsorship would mean what? What does that require? Also, having an H1B visa doesn't qualify anyone for SNAP benefits. To be an immigrant and qualify you have to be of a specific immigrant group (cuban, haitian, etc) or be a green card holder AND have been here for 5 years with that card.

All of that requires what? Being documented.

There are not huge numbers of illegal immigrants stealing jobs from Americans then somehow qualifying for SNAP benefits.

This is a conservative racist fantasy. Just like the one Reagan pushed back in the 80s with the "wellfare queens" with 11 kids who got Cadillac's paid for by the US government.

It peddles in the same "they're stealing from you" nonsense.

And if you took 15 minutes to research how the benefits system in the US works, you'd know that.

You can't sponsor an illegal. To get an H1B Visa you have to be... documented. So, no. There is no "incentive" to hire an undocumented immigrant to replace a citizen and then pay them so little they're on SNAP benefit.

Prior to Trump, it used to cost $2,000 to $5,000 per filing. So, every time you wanted to bring in an H1B visa worker, each petition was $2,000 to $5,000. And that wasn't guaranteed. If the petition was rejected for any reason, to re-submit it was another fee. That's the fee the employer has to pay, not the visa holder.

The conspiracy is of that what it is, and now you have the reality of ice who is following the paper trail. If anyone illegal were to apply for a benefit it was probably more than likely done with a legal head of household reporting them as someone in the household. As far as applying for assistance it sure is illegal for undocumented immigrants to even apply, and it's a requirement that they are reported if they apply for social services, but their to you have stated that have a say in their state funded programs. So why are so many ice facilities needed if they are just going to be deported? The main goal is to sort out the citizenship arrangement B4 reporting. But the process takes forever.

I guess the refugees were very rich when the government flew them over on military tax funded flights, as far as the illegal border crossers, they were dressed in gouchi, and Louis Vuitton, they had new clothing and seemed to be well fed according to Fox News as I recalled, then they all got bussed around if I remember according to CNN.. something about Martha's venyard, and sanctuary cities, followed by hotel transformations into shelters ... If I can recall.
