Getting dems to do things they never would do if you asked them to

Don't they realize that future presidents will have to use taxpayer money to upgrade the White House because of that bill? By passing that law to punish Trump, they're also punishing Trump's successors, some of whom may be Democrats themselves!

They don't give a crap about the long term damage to themselves or others.

Also, how will such a law be enforced if it becomes law? Will all incoming mail to the White House be screened for unexpected checks or.enclosed money, only for the checks or enclosed money to be destroyed? And what about the people who send mail with donations? I fear what will happen to them:

"You're under arrest for donating money to The White House renovation fund. You have the right to remain silent....."

Leftist politicians shriek, "How dare private citizens help renovate the White House?!"

Personally I agree. Let's instead make a law to dip into the personal fortunes of Congress critters getting wealthy from insider trading. We could do really great things with White House renovations funded by that endless source.
