Taken and bought and paid for with fair compensation happened quite a many time.

It was conquered so it is mine. The government can take it through imminent domain or some other entity that conquers it. So mine for now.

Ever heard of King Philip's war? It was the closest the natives ever came to pushing the Europeans back into the sea. It happened literally a generation after the supposed "First Thanksgiving". Children who attended that event killed each other in that war as adults. The best part is it started because get this, THE EUROPEAN SETTLERS BROKE A TREATY. Where have I heard that before?
