None of that's happening. The USC you are referencing only applies to LAWFUL orders. The people you are making ridiculous accusations against referred only to UNLAWFUL orders. Troops are taught the difference in boot camp. Nothing wrong with reminding them once in a while.

OP is (Indi) Guyanese, apparently living in Canada now... Hasn't lived a day in the USA.

NOPE! There is ZERO need for politicians to use their past-army credentials to "REMIND" soldiers to not follow "unlawful" orders. It was uttered by people suffering from severe and end-stage Trump Derangement Syndrome... and meant to be deliberately INFLAMMATORY! They were reminders that have NEVER been needed or done before by politicians. There is no need for these fools to do it... as this concept is ruthlessly grilled into US soldiers' heads continuously and ongoing:
-: Every soldier hears this for the first time within their first 60–90 days in the Army
- Then at least annually (often more frequently) for the rest of their career. The message is deliberate, explicit, and never optional.
- Annual Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) / Rules of Engagement (ROE) training is mandatory for all active-duty, Reserve, and National Guard soldiers
- Before every combat deployment, units receive detailed mission-specific LOAC and ROE training that again emphasizes the duty to refuse manifestly unlawful orders.
- Professional Military Education (PME) at every level (Basic Leader Course, Captains Career Course, NCO academies, War College, etc.) includes blocks on military ethics and unlawful orders.
- After any high-profile incident (e.g., My Lai historically, or more recent cases such as Abu Ghraib), the Army typically pushes refresher training across the force.
Key Doctrinal References Soldiers Are Taught:
- Department of Defense Law of War Manual (2015, updated 2023)
- Army Field Manual FM 6-27 / MCTP 11-10C – The Commander’s Handbook on the Law of Land Warfare
- The “Nuremberg Principle”: Following orders is not a defense if the order was clearly illegal and a person of ordinary sense and understanding would know it was illegal.
I hope this helps with those people who are suffering from full-blown and incurable Trump Derangement Syndrome!

So now you're a mind-reader? 😜

It don’t take a mind reader to see the intent…
Just common sense

"It's just common sense that vaccines cause autism donchaknow!"

Indeed. The congresspeople simply repeated what the UCMJ made clear. The Trump/Kegsbreath lackey lawyers would have an almost impossible task proving intent. They should just drop this nonsense.

You guys keep throwing that term around as if it means anything. It's a useless term because it doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.
2 ups, 4w
Given all that...and given the fact that it totally agrees with what the Congress folks said...where is the "sedition"? There is no case.

To you, maybe 😜
Still nothing that merits a ridiculous charge of "sedition". Too big a stretch.

The manner in which these politicians made these statements were indeed designed to undermine the authority of the Commander in Chief and all of those officers in the chain of command.
Not a stretch at all.
Don’t worry, little fella… nothing is going to happen to those morons. The worst that will happen is that they might get censured.
Big whoop

Another "mind-reader"... Seeing "sedition" where none exists...all because you worship an insurrectionist...😜

OH! LOOK! Says the Chief mind-reader who has read the minds of all the democrat politicians who have claimed that Trump was being an insurrectionist when he had asked his voters to go forward and protest peacefully. A phrase that the democrats chopped up to eliminate the "peacefully" part! Only someone who gets their news from CNN, MSNBC (does that still exist) and such liberal propaganda news media... would spout that nonsense still... after it has been fully debunked! Well! There is another reason... but that also comes off of the junk that CNN and its likes spout... and that is... end-stage, severe, and incurable Trump Derangement Syndrome!

Trump's own daughter and son-in-law were begging him to say something, anything to end the insurrection, but he let it drag on for over three hours.
