He was just ahead of his time because nobody thought that Marxists could so infiltrate and then weaken the educational systems and control the media outlets to the extent that Socialism -- the gateway drug to Marxism -- would become normalized for the Dem Party and thus gradually infiltrate key government organizations as well . . . to partly form the deep state along with the simple corruption of RINOs . . . the natural political allies of nation-hating leftists.

100%. Even today some on the right continue to speak of him and “McCarthyism” in a bad light. He did what he thought was right and it turned out to be the truth. We’ve gotten to the bad state that we’re currently in because of people who refused to see what was right in front of their eyes. They always said that it (communism/Marxism) could never gain a foothold in the U.S.. They were ignorant of the fact that by the time that Joseph McCarthy began those hearings it was already too late. They’d been infiltrating the government and the rest of society for 50+ years before that.

I agree . . . but then again conservatives study and know history. Also we refuse to go through life wearing blinders. We see and comprehend what IS rather than what we want to be.

Truth of the matter was that Joe wasn't actively seeking out threats to the US. All he could do was wait for the phone calls or letters of people naming names. . .which included Hollywood ratting each other out for reasons ranging from petty disagreements or straight up hatred. Interesting how Hollywood still whines and complains about Joe but fail to mention they were the ones turning each other in.

That’s true, I agree. The best thing that he did was draw attention to the communist/Marxist infiltration of American society. Even if it didn’t pan out like he thought it would.

He might be doing “all of the above”. At various stages after he found out how bad things really are. He’d run the emotional gamut.
