Yes pretty much. Stephen Hawkins repeatedly said God doesn't exist throughout his years, releasing many books about this. God silenced him and took his voice away. However he still continued to say it through his machine voice. The more he did, the more he seemed to have melted into his chair. His last words were "There is no God".

but it was in a robotic voice "th-e-r-e- is n-o God" hehehe
