Ide say the majority are elderly people who didn't work in a high minimum wage society so their social security payments and lack of Real COLA adjustments caused them to qualify for snap. Also the group homes of special needs and disabled people rely of SNAP funding to eat. I guess unless you worked in the field, or lived B4 Ronald Regan shut down the federal facilities that housed special needs and or crazies of society, you would understand why these programs are vital for a healthy society. If it's just going to turn into a caste system, and no standard rules to follow set by a government we are going to have a very ill functioning society. Even non profits have become corrupted by federal funding, and lack of solving the problem. At the least the only truly working to a point system in America is some of its social services, as long as they remain secured and uncorrupted, which is the issue in the last modern decade
