Drive people out with higher taxes, Socialist /Marxist policies, high crime, and terrorizing the inhabitants - there will be plenty of spaces available for whomever and whatever tools of war they want to bring in via international air and sea, With air, rail, and road hubs available they can export terrorism to the rest of the country. The Atlantic and Pacific oceans have been natural defensive advantages. This one move effectively negates that advantage.

Not including the hundreds of million dollars it's had to pay out due to sexual assaults on children in the Police Activities League program over many years. Then the City will declare-financial distress-but not officially, but just enough to make city staff's job easier.
