Not all of us are adept at it. I myself have to look up a lot of words just to make sure I got the spelling right. I'm not dyslexic, but I may have some sort of spatial interpretation disorder my eye doctor told me years ago. I have to be tested for it at some place in Manhattan though, so skip that.
My first and still biggest regret on this site was when I corrected somebody's spelling when I first got active commenting here in late 2016. He was nice about it, and his response made me feel like crap. It turned out he had a problem with spelling. Already well into his adult years, it wasn't exactly a matter of simply learning how to spell those words correctly in school. Him and another guy on this site became my best friends here back in those early days.
Now I may seem hardly one to talk, as I can be quite the itch, and yes, I correct quite a few spelling errors by other members myself. But I only do it to those who themselves do it to others and go about trying to give folks a hard time. The OP isn't one of those.
