This fact is the real reason that the leftist leadership -- pulling the emotional strings of liberals and progressives and non-influential leftists -- REALLY want to deep-six the 2nd Amendment. It's always really been about control. You cannot CONTROL an armed population. Instead you have to reason with it and . . . leftists simply are not good at that; which is why they always run with trickery and outright lies instead.

With warrants. When a police officer goes to arrest someone without a warrant, I always ask "what was the public danger sir/ma'am?"
