I remember that. It was the biggest tax increase in the history of, not this country, but the world. No government prior ever increased taxes that much. Biden set up even a bigger tax increase than Obama's but Trump shut it down before it went into effect.
Lefties just do now know or care about the damage taxation causes.
What makes me cringe is to hear lefties who are all of the sudden experts on the damage tariffs cause. Yeah it's exactly the same as taxes which they feel it is our privilege to pay. But tariffs have a benefit that taxes don't have. It will revive manufacturing in America because now imported goods will cost the same as domestic goods. And that will create jobs.
