And I forgot one!!!

II Kings 6:28-29 tells the story of someone who actually did it (ate her own child)! Would you teach these verses to your children during a home Bible study? Are there other disgusting passages in the Bible (II Kings 9:10, II Kings 18:27) that you believe children should be protected from? What would you think of me if I read these Bible verses to your child? Shouldn't the Bible be removed from the libraries of elementary schools? How often are these verses, a.k.a. the holy inspired word of god, taught in Sunday School?

So there are FIVE references in the Bible to cannibalizing children, yet only ONE commandment to attend church (Hebrews 10:25).

And by the way ... in addition to the punishment of the parents, doesn't this punish the (innocent) children also? Where is the justice in making them die (and be eaten!) because somebody else has sinned?

The child clearly hasn’t been raped

You're not getting it.
Rapist has a child unrelated to the rapist's victim. God decides as punishment to make Rapist eat his own children. That's the MOST INJUST thing ever. Punishing a child for the sins of the father...a child who didn't do anything wrong.

But thanks for playing.

The penalty for sin is death. We have chosen sin, and we have chosen death. Not just death, eternal death, in hell.

Show me where it talks about hell in the old testament................ still waiting....... Oh, nowhere? Ok, now that we've got that settled... Tell me about this new testament jebus chap, who is all loving and forgiving, yet is going to suffer souls to eternal hellfire and damnation for even minor transgressions, like non-belief in invisible beings, or wanting better than what they have... I can't understand how christain's can proclaim all of this perfectly obvious BS with straight faces... lmao

Hell is not directly mentioned at all in the Old Testament, true, but "sheol" is. Sheol is basically what I just described.

You say that it's absurd to think that something created the world in, well, not necessarily seven days, how to interpret that passage is debatable, but in a certain amount of time? Well, think about that harder, because when by saying this, you forget that the Christian God is all-powerful and could make a second universe before you can say "I don't believe it." Who could, in fact, create this universe before even that.

I don't get those people who say that God isn't real by ignoring God's own ability.

Sheol is "the grave" silly. Learn some Hebrew like I did at seminary.

Answer the question. What crimes would make you force people to cannibalize their own children?

Your god is a sick f*cker.

Fine, I'll answer the question. God is merciful and slow to anger. He gave the Israelites hundreds of years to repent, yet over those years, they never did. God, delivering justice, sent empires to conquer them, and sent famines, causing people to eat their own children.
God is good. Perfect, in fact. Our sins are so great, even now, that our life should end in eternal death yet our merciful God sent down his son, fully man and fully God, to die on the cross and forgive us our sins. All we need now is to accept God as our Lord and our king.
My God is slow to anger and merciful. It's all of us that are the "sick f*ckers."

That's not the plan of salvation you doofus. No where in the buybull does the word "accept" appear. LOLOLOL. You're so delusional. You have no comprehension of Romans, nor of how your current religion was altered in the 1800s and early 1900s into what you have today and go around spouting off at the mouth like you know anything you're talking about. LOL, LEARN SOME HISTORY and NO, not from your pastor. He's as demented as your god is.

As a Christian, all we need to do is believe, I'm sorry if when I said we need only to accept Jesus as our savior, you didn't think I meant that we need to believe. The Bible clearly says this.

"No where in the buybull does the word "accept" appear." Well everywhere in the New Testament does salvation in faith appear, just read Romans, or one of the other books. You think I'm delusional, take a look at yourself.

Funny thing you keep forgetting...I WAS you for 50 years. I swallowed that load just like you do but I came to my senses and realized it was all a sham. You're still in the denial and defend stage. It's okay. You're just duped. I've been there and I was just as vehemently pro-xtian as you are now. It's quite funny to this old atheist now that I think about it.

There's a better than average chance you'll grow out of it. Then, like me, you'll look back on your old arguments and wonder how you could have been so stupid and gullible.

Yeah, I get it, you were going through stages of doubt and you let these doubts spread thorugh your entire body until, all of a sudden, you were uprooted. I get it. You couldn't find people who had knowledge that you didn't have and you gradually allowed yourself to be nibbled away until you realized that there wasn't enough of you left to hold on to faith. I hope you will come back to Jesus. Know that if you ever do change your mind, Jesus has open arms.

So you've converted to atheism. And I will apparently follow in your footsteps. I've met people who were not Christian when they were young, then became Christian when they were older. In fact, I know a lot of people who have had that happen to them. You wanna play the convert game? Well then you've chosen the losing side.

This is absolutely on track! Hilarious. Religion has evolved just like everything on earth...
0 ups, 3w
So you claim.

Well there's no point arguing a point that is attributed without proper evidence, where almost every religious person would say that this is the opposite, so I'm going straight to the eighth panel. This is actually false when it comes to Christianity. We don't claim to speak for Jesus, we claim to interpret Jesus. If you can't get your history right, at least get our theological statements right.

Bro why is the Greek guy worshiping one God? The Greeks and Romans had many gods, and the Roman ones were even based on Greek gods.
