Yes, they did. Kyle didn't kill innocent people, he killed violent antifa rioters who were trying to kill him. He did not deserve to be detained and arrested at whim just for crossing state lines. He did deserve due process even though crossing state lines was a crime at the time. I am for basic border security and crossing the U.S. border may be illegal but an immigrant still deserves due process and not treated like a hardened criminal. There are undocumented immigrants in the U.S. but they don't deserve to have ICE agents burst into their homes and arrest them at whim, they do deserve to be given a chance to be proven innocent and have their papers in order.
