Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel will just start their own YouTube channels or podcasts. If thousands of public school teachers get fired, they could fill the farms.
Maybe a public school district will have to fire all its teachers. If that happens, the parents of those students will have three choices;
1. Move to other towns to attend the public schools in that district.
2. Send their kids to private schools.
3. Homeschool their kids.
If they pick options 2 and 3, those will be the best options, since private school students and homeschooled students often outperform public school students. If enough parents in a community chose private schooling or homeschooling, that community could be able to abolish their public school district completely. Then they could spend more money on other things, such as improving infrastructure, expanding libraries, or sprucing up parks and recreation centers. Or they could lower tax rates to encourage businesses and residents to move in. Did you know that in most towns, 60-70% of property taxes are used to pay for public schools?
