It has been opined that the bullet struck the edge of Kirk’s body armor and was deflected into his neck. That would account for it not leaving an exit wound, seeing as the initial impact with the edge of the body armor its velocity would have been significantly dissipated. Additionally, the projectile could also have fragmented into several fragments.
But, we (the public)don’t really know if there was an exit wound or not since we aren’t as of yet privy to the coroner’s report.
Furthermore, you are absolutely correct that assassin was a political leftist trans lover assassin using his Gramps 30-06 chambered K98 Mauser bolt action rifle with a scope. Gramps should be severely chastised for taking such a nice rifle and changing it from 8mm Mauser to 30-06(although I have HUGE respect for the cartridge) and putting a commercial scope on it. And at 145 yards, you really don’t need a scope if you are 22 years old and don’t wear glasses.

A .30-06 round is not gonna run into any complications inside a human neck to prevent it from exiting the other side from a distance of 145yrds.
