We here on the left, are well aware of what Maga represents and supports. So, yeah, I personally won't make memes or jokes about Kirks killing. But we're more than aware that maga would, when the tables are reversed.

Two wrongs don't make a right. I don't support the murder of anyone on any political side, and I just don't understand anyone who does, regardless of what side they're on. Charlie was innocent and no one should support the killing of innocent people on either side.

Kirk made a living from division. He may have been popular with maga, and employed a different style.
But he was delivering the same message that all the Right wing talking heads and politicians do.

Kirks popularity with Trump proves this. Achieve a nod from Donald means you're doing exactly what Trump wants.

I disagree that he made a living off of division. However, for the sake of your argument, let's say he did.
Even if he was a racist nazi like the left calls him, does that mean it's ok to murder a father in front of his kids? What kind of message are you spreading if you're celebrating the assassination of a man you couldn't prove wrong? Murder isn't the solution, calm conversation and debate is and that's what Charlie used.

Human beings are emotional beings. History proves this ~ anger grows resentment, resentment fosters hate. Hate is the path of all evil.

Restrainment takes competent leadership. We have the opposite, on both sides of the aisle.

Unfortunately, for all of us, I'm convinced, this shit will escalate.

As long as you understand there's a big difference between calling for violence versus not being upset when a violence happens. Kirk should not have been killed but that doesn't mean everyone has to be sad that it happened
