I watched as the red haired man walked up to the rest of us, wielding a bat in his hand. Zach quickly summoned Street Prince and was about to punch him until he flailed back with his hands up. “Wait wait wait! I wasn’t threatening you!” He cries out as Zach lowers his guard. “I was just saying that without proper weapons, you’re not going to last 4 seconds in there!”
“Weapons…?” Adrian questioned as the man looked at them with a concerned expression.
“Yeah… wait do you guys not use weapons in tandem with your guardian?” He scratches the back of his head in confusion. “I mean I vaguely remember Zach beating Poe in the head with a desk, so I guess that counts… Durable desk by the way.” He says turning to Zach.
“Oh thanks, my mom has been working hard on- Hey wait a minute! What the hell are you doing here?!” He says immediately on guard again. The man in red doesn’t seem to have malicious intent, but he does seem to trigger some aggression from the others.
“Hey uh, what the hell is going on here?” I am confused. The man looks up at me and adjusts his hat.
“Oh right! I never met you!” He says, shaking my hand. “My name is Hero Harris. Nice to meet you.” Huh. seems friendly enough. Still I questioned him about why everyone else was so aggressive towards him and he filled me in on everything. The Knights, his motivation for being here, and how he’s betraying his group. Everyone listens intently until Robert snaps his fingers for everyone's attention.
“I’d say he knows what he’s doing.” He says, “The Knights know more about the situation than we do, so we should take his word for it. If he betrays us, well then we’ll just beat the crap out of him.” He says with a smile. Everyone looked around in agreement and I shrugged. I guess it’s worth a shot. I mean, he is a guardian user unlike Hugo.
“Alright, welcome to the team Hero. Now, first order of business, You, Zach, and Adrian go get weapons for the team.” I order as Zach shrugs along. “Does anyone want anything specific?”
“Well I could go for a rapier…” Adrian mumbles to herself.
“Oh! Kunais! Two of them! I saw it in a movie this morning (^∀^*)!” Pudding perks up. And it looks like those two were the only ones who needed weapons. So the three headed off together.
“Alright meeting adjourned, everyone. I’m gonna drop Ophelia off at my house. You guys prepare the best you can.” I say, picking her up. Hugo grapples off as Robert walks next to me.
