Why blue states?

Probably because half or more of the cost of fuel in blue states is local and state taxes. It's the leftist way.

Some of it is the oil refineries in Texas delivering locally, but most is markup, transportation, and the biggest part: taxes and fees.

I can answer that question for Colorado: Do you know how expensive it is to ship things though the mountains?
