The funny thing about a Utopia is that the harder you try to get to it, the further away you end up.
Every nation that strived for the ideals always ended up in a drastically worse state than anyone who didn't.
Its simple to understand why:
My idea of a utopia is to figuratively be left alone in a cabin down by a lake, someone elses idea of a utopia is for all of us to be locked in a padded room and for me to assist in funding the people who are going to place me in it.
Both ideals can't coexist. One of us is going to be incredibly unhappy and resist the direction we're going in
