That's literally the whole point. To not have to deal with anything that would require any reconfiguration of thought processes which of course be could be bewildering and confusing and with thus necessitate constant adapting to unforeseen possibilities and consequences.
Instead, Conservatives have come up with some sort of fantastical Norman Rockwell painting and decided that that was and should always be reality. Forever. Without change.
