She earns less than $10 a day (this is the median, and NOT the average, which is prone to distortion by outliers). In terms of the sweep of human experience, a normal person would probably be a hunter gatherer . . . I'm guessing you mean something else, though. This is a good moment to be explicit about our assumptions.
