"If I don't like a teacher flipping off my kids, I can try to have her fired"
Go ahead and try, I'm not going to stop you. I'm just saying that you're not very likely to succeed if that's all you have against her. You have a much better chance of getting her fired by presenting evidence that she did one or more of these things:
1. That she drank alcoholic beverages, consumed tobacco products, or used illegal drugs on the clock.
2. That she showed her students pornography or that she posed naked in front of her students.
3. That she helped her students cheat on tests by making posters visible that showed information needed to do well on the test.
4. That she abused or mistreated one or more of her students by physically striking them (unless one or more students hit her first) or sexually molesting them.
The war on profane words and gestures is a war we will never truly win by complaining to those who say the profane words and gestures. People don't use profanity because they're stupid or have a low vocabulary. They use profanity for the following reasons:
1. Because other people disappoint them.
2. Because other people disrespect them.
3. Because other people push their buttons.
4. Because other people drive them insane.
According to Kraft, 74% of mothers have admitted to using profanity in front of their kids. Instead of attacking those mothers for using profanity, we should be attacking their kids for making their mothers mad enough to use profanity. You will not earn any sympathies by complaining about the symptoms while you're spreading the disease.
