No; the one that deals with Medicaid cuts and tax cuts for the wealthy that was passed yesterday.... also the one that screws over most the senior citizens, people with pre-existing conditions. That one. >:(

I swear I didn't hear about this lol, I don't usually look into what the president's are doing.

But it looks like he's cutting down taxes in general, not just medication (I looked it up just now)
Is that a bad thing though? (Just asking a question)

Yes, it is a bad thing.

- Tax cuts for the rich (even more then before)
- Cuts to research investments (disease, clean energy)
- Cuts to social programs millions of Americans depend on, like Medicaid.

Essentially, it’s a transfer of wealth that makes the lives of those in congress better, and it makes our lives worse

Now I’m not an expert on this bill but feel free to do more research.

Yeah, sometimes government intervention does turn out worse, but it does work often and I believe that’s a risk worth taking when people need help. Besides, it usually ends up badly when people rely solely on government assistance, which is why communism doesn’t really work and socialism is more ideal. Think about the New Deal. It’s what got us out of a decade long economic crisis.

If the private medicare plans are at least slightly more reliable than government medicare plans due to variety of options, free market competition, and the very building blocks that started the industrial revolution, many of these advantages which the government does not have, wouldn't the government already be supporting the better medicare option by giving a portion of the taxes back to the market?

I've looked into the BBB some more and there are some things I disagree with. My point still stands with the point on Medicaid (and "killing thousands of senior citizens") but I agree that the bill is not all good.
1 up, 4w
Respectable opinion. You do have a point with the Medicaid thing
1 up, 4w
How so?
1 up, 4w
Cutting on forced-charity does seem bad since it's charity, but isn't there historical evidence of many cases of goverment interference in the economy turning out worse (with rare exceptions) including medicare?

Medicaid is welfare, if you’re a senior on welfare that’s a you problem for not getting your shit together while you were young. Taxpayers are sick of footing the bill for freeloaders and their cycles of poverty.
2 ups, 4w
maybe you can explain to me why the super-rich are getting a permanent handout. they got their shit together, so why do they need the taxpayers' help?
