Nothing burns, actually.
If you prove me wrong, then fine. I don't wail and cover myself in sackcloth and ashes when you "own" me.
It has no effect on me.
You (plural) claim you know exactly what a "woman" means. (No one seems to care what a "man" means, I note. Ever noticed that? No one ever seems to ask, "What is a man? Sexist, much? But anyway.)
You say it's black and white: women have XX chromosomes and men have XY chromosomes, as we all learned in Biology class. Case closed and that's it, right?
Unfortunately, that was too simplistic. School simplifies stuff for us so we can grasp the concept. Just like how we learned atoms have electron "shells" of 2,8,8. In reality, it's not quite that simple and reality is weirder than you or I can imagine. But you can't teach high school kids the intricacies of quantum mechanics. So we make it easy.
The vast majority of human males have XY chromosomes and the vast majority of human females have XX chromosomes. But there are are numerous important exceptions and multiple chromosomal variations most people have never even heard of.
Hormones play a big part too. So do quite a few other things. It's become trendy in some "rightwing" circles to ask, "What is a woman" to try and "own" the "left", expecting a simple black and white answer they usually can't answer. (A lot can't even bring themselves to say it means an "adult human female". But that also arguably doesn't explain much and is way too simplistic.)
But, if anything, we should be asking if the "right" actually knows what a woman is too. Because it's not quite as simple as a lot of people think it is. So the left doesn't know. And arguably neither does the right. Biology isn't black and white. It's not as simple as XX/XY. Maybe we should ask actual biologists. But we don't trust "experts" any more, right? 🤔
