(Mate, life isn't black and white. You can be opposed to ~50K innocent people getting killed without hating Jews or supporting a lunatic extremist movement that hasn't had democratic elections since 2006 and that threw members of the opposition off roofs, and thought it would be a really great idea to massacre 1200 innocent Israeli civilians and get their people bombed to almighty shit because they don't give a f**k what happens to their own people.)

Innocent people (most of whom are too young to even have voted for Hamas btw) are being killed in Gaza. It doesn't matter what your politics are. If you're even vaguely human, you should feel something.

This isn't about polarized politics. It's about human decency.

I don't know the exact number of references (think it depends how you measure the different word forms), but I don't dispute that, nor do I dispute your connection as Christians (assuming you are one) to the Land/People of Israel. The Bible does mention "Israel" a lot (referring to both the people of Israel and the patriarch Jacob). In fact, I think the number is even higher than your figure of 2,572.

But references to the ancient people of Israel are not the same as references to the modern State of Israel, which didn't exist in its current form when those verses were written centuries/millennia ago.

In any case, you can still be pro-Israel as a nation and believe in their "right" to exist as a state if you so choose, without automatically and unconditionally (?) condoning everything that Netanyahu's government and the IDF does. He's not a prophet inspired by God and I'm not aware he is mentioned anywhere in Scripture.

Just as you can be appalled by or opposed to the loss of innocent life in Gaza and violations of human rights/international law in the West Bank without automatically (and also unconditionally (?)) supporting Hamas or whatever they or other militants do.

Values come before partisan loyalty (at least in my world).
