Great question. We need to put an upper limit on frames per second, as well as upper limits on visual detail so we can bring back localized mutliplayer. Why do Gran Turismo games need to show leaves blowing around, or astronomically accurate night skies? You go to a racetrack to see a race, not to look at stars.

seriously, can we please stop bumping up graphics to unplayable levels and intead focus on making the game actually enjoyable to play, like they were in the 1990s, 2000s, and even 2010s?
