It takes at least a half acre to grow a personal supply of food and even then you could become a full time food processor living like the Amish. If we could do anything right it would be to have the Amish teach som skills to modern day people, and have a modern day non Amish/ amish practice use community. The only way to solve some of the corporate greed is to branch off away from the corporations and work together and purchase or trade each others products.

The inspections that the FDA wants to do away with are redundant. If it's being done by local and/or state authorities the FDA can concentrate more on inspecting imported food from countries like China, that have a serious problem with unwholesome additives in their foods.

For the love of God remember the jungle and never forget why food safety standards were put in place. The jungle was real and happened, let's not let industrial history repeat itself weather your democrat, republican, tea party, birthday party, green party, or any of the other 20+ parties. For God's sake nothing is easy to trust in modern times.
