Um, no. I agree with I.D. for voting, but comparing it to buying guns? I still want an I.D. and a cursory background check to see if the purchaser is a convicted felon for gun purchases.
Now an I.D is important for survival. You can't get a job without one. You can't cash check or open a bank account without one. If you drive you need a drivers license, which is an I.D. you're supposed to need an I.D. to apply for government benefits.
According to their arguements, liberals are apparently fine with minorities being disenfranchised from these vital aspects of life, but somehow draw the line at voting.

The idea is to show the leftist hypocrisy. Voting and gun ownership are both fundamental rights in the US. But for some reason leftists think it’s ok to require ID for one but not ok for the other.

Just asking, what would you do if a 15 year old said they were a communist and supported the killing of billionaires?

I would say such a person should be committed to an asylum for the criminally insane and their parole officer’s grandfather would not yet be born.

What about letting them go? They have a bright future ahead of them.

Just like you do with rapists

Restrictive gun laws restrict personal freedom

Don’t expect anyone living in a gun restrictive country to understand how their freedoms are affected. It’s like asking a dog what it feels like to walk on the moon. They have no concept or idea of what it’s like

I know what its like.
America has: Mass shootings, crazy ppl can buy guns
Australia has: A lot less shootings of any kind, very hard for crazy ppl to buy guns.
I wonder which I'd rather live in.

I’d rather not live in one that restricts my freedoms…like during a COVID outbreak

What did my government do?
Made us wear masks to stop the spread. Quarantined all of us when it was bad and quarantined only sick people when it was less bad. Limited gatherings to minimise contact and stop the spread. I'm sorry, but I rather enjoyed lockdown and see no reason why it was bad.

Australia set up concentration camps for anyone unvaccinated and kept them locked up without trial until they agreed to take an experimental, and proven dangerous medicine.

oh f**k off. That is the most conspiracy-theory-tinfoil-hat-wearing thing i have ever seen. The vaccine was a new idea. But it f**king worked. The vaccine worked. It was not dangerous. My relativewent to one of these 'camps'. It was not a concentration camp. Dont you DARE try to compare us to the Nazis. Oh wait, You guys love nazis in america dont you? You love elon after all.

Did you know that the British started using concentration camps before the Nazis existed? Try to learn something of history.

The reason isn’t less restrictive gun laws on the US. The reason we have more here is a deeper lawless culture that would exist whether guns existed or not.

Finally, a good reason. It doesnt really change my mind, but its a good reason.

I personally don’t like guns. I wish we lived in a world where they didn’t exist because nobody would harm another person. But because we do not live in such a world, and bad people are going to have access to guns, good people need to have access to guns also.

It was citizens with privately owned weapons that stopped Jesse James during the bank robbery in Northfield Minnesota. Hitler said if you want to enclave people, you must first disarm them. Gandhi said that the worst crime the British inflicted on the people of India was to deprive an entire nation of the use of arms.

well, we're quite free down under, despite a lack of private assault rifles.

We have 20,000 gun laws on the books already. The problem isn't a gun issue, the problem is an enforcement of the law issue.
